Round 2 of the Brown Trout Masters at Fernworthy lake on Dartmoor saw a good turn out with anglers from all around the South West. The weather was changeable with sunshine becoming overcast and very windy throughout. This did not however distract the anglers with all anglers catching.
In general fishing has been a little harder on Fernworthy in 2024 compared to 2023 when a lot of really nice fish were being caught. There was some real talent on the banks on the day so even though it could be hard going there was always going to be some great results. And results we got, everyone caught fish.
Keith Burnett landed the most fish with 11 with runner up Roger Truscott with 7. Third position was shared by Richard Adeney & Rodney Wevill joint 3rd with 6 fish.
The biggest fish of the day went once again to Kevin Sellar who extended his round 1 biggest fish with another fish at 41cm on the day. Wayne Thomas was the runner up.
A massive thank you to Turrall & Co Ltd and Lakedown Brewing . Co for their support and providing some great prizes. Some great Cortland lines and Turrall accessories for the prizes as well as goodie bags for all the participants.
