Have you been out for Pike on Blagdon Reservoir. Our top angler Ollie Cullingford had a great session recently and wanted to share the updates with us all.
Ollie was equipped with a Cortland Compact Sink Type 9 WF 10/11, some of the Cortland Ultra ~Top Secret Tippet as well as a bunch of other items.
Just an update from Blagdon reservoir in a busy fishing calendar. We had 2 days on the reservoir with some mixed up weather for sure but some nice mild weather for the season. I started using the Cortland Compact Sink 9 line that Turrall sent me. Cast like a bullet and sinks like a stone which was perfect as I was trying to fish deep water for those pike.
Fishing in depths of 30 + ft is something I’ve not had much experience in and this line certainly gave me confidence especially when I started to catch a few perch which were hard on the bottom.
I love a challenge and finally managed a stunning pike of just over 25 lbs and a couple of good doubles for my efforts. All in all great trip.
Thanks Turrall and Blagdon!
